The Pant Nagar police on Tuesday arrested a 30-year-old car stereo thief for allegedly ramming into a police constable and fracturing his leg in an incident that took place earlier this month. Inquiries revealed that the bike had eight past owners. The accused, who was arrested from Karnataka, has around 40 theft cases registered against him around the city. He dodged it and knocked the girl. The youngster riding the bike in the wrong lane sped away from the spot and attempts are being made to trace him. Her hand got stuck in the wheel and was cut off,” said Mr Worlikar. The police found two stolen car stereos and initiated investigations. Constable Kadam fractured his left leg and was immediately admitted to Wockhardt Hospital in Mulund, where he is recuperating.After colliding with Mr Kadam, the accused rode ahead and abandoned their bike before fleeing the spot. The Kasturba Marg police said the incident took place at around 12 pm in front of the Magathane bus depot in Borivali (east). Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked the BJP-led Central government over the rising prices of petrol and diesel and led a cycle protest in the Karnataka town of Kolar against its fuel price policy. He added, “Why are you not saying to people that you don’t want to put GST on petrol and diesel? You want to take away money from common man and want to give it to your five or ten industrialist friends.Congress chief Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Malur, 45 km from Bengaluru, on Monday.

Mr Gandhi also put out a video along with his tweet that said, “Despite international crude prices dropping up to 67 pc in 4 years of Modi government petrol-diesel prices are skyrocketing in India but the government that promised ‘acche din’ is silent. “The BJP Government collected Rs 10 lakh crore in taxes on Petrol/LPG/Diesel since 2014.“Earlier in international market, the price was 0 per barrel, now it is per barrel.Later in the day, Mr Gandhi rode a bicycle as he led a march on the issue while campaigning in Karnataka’s Kolar district. So lakhs of crores of money is being saved by the government.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked the BJP-led Central government over the rising prices of petrol and diesel and led a cycle protest in the Karnataka town of Kolar against its fuel price policy. He added, “Why are you not saying to people that you don’t want to put GST on petrol and diesel? You want to take away money from common man and want to give it to your five or ten industrialist friends.Congress chief Rahul Gandhi at a rally in Malur, 45 km from Bengaluru, on Monday.
